Rosedale

A small backyard in Rosedale is transformed into an outdoor entertaining oasis.

Gone is the back porch which felt like a barrier to the backyard from the house. In its place is a set of custom concrete steps and a series of poured in place concrete pavers lead to a custom steel patio cover presiding over a paver patio.

Rather than the tired and confined deck, the homeowners now have a solid and comfortable space with room for grilling and entertaining. Shade sails provide the corridor with much needed relief from the hot Texas sun.

Custom steel planter boxes flank three large pavers that lead to a multi-use space screened by Magnolias and Hollies. Portable fireplace in the winter, outdoor party games in the summer.

The remainder of the landscape is populated with native and adapted plants, all suited to the space, providing color, texture and four season interest.

A brimming urn water feature, String lights anchored to the sail posts and led landscape lighting round out this stunning transformation, creating a space that can now be used year round, day and night.
